Gouthu Latchanna Goud Veteran freedom fighter from GoudCommunity was Born in Barua, Sompeta, Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. Latchanna was conferred the tile of sardar for his fearless fight against the British Raj, was often referred Sardar Latchanna.
Latchanna was honoured with Doctrates by Andhra, Nagarjuna Universities.

Latchanna Goud participated in the Salt Satyagraha, Civil disobedience, Quit India Movement. As a secretary of Andhra Rashtra Congree Committee, he organised a reception at Eluru for the soldiers of Azad Hind Fauz, revived by Subhas Chandra Bose

Latchanna founded Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), He mostly concentrated in raising awareness among oppressed classes using his monthly publication Bahujana.Latchanna Goud was a champion of kisans, backward classes, weaker sections.
Latchanna led the Tappers Satyagraha, An Agitation for Toddy Tapper Cooperative Societies & Latchanna was instrumental in bringing down the Andhra Government of Prakasham Panthulu on the issues of prohibition
