Dr. M.S. Gowd
Fellow American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Dr. Gowd’s Dental Hospitals In a span of 40 years of practice, Dr. M.S. Gowd has spent 22 years in the government, retiring as dean of Army Dental College, has several family members joining him, and today runs one of the most successful chains of dental clinic, Dr. Gowd’s Dental. “We eat, sleep, and talk dentistry”, laughs Dr. Gowd while talking about his dentists family, in a smile so genuine, making us wonder if that magic is what is replicated when he performs cosmetic surgeries for engineering beautiful smiles. Dr. M.S. Gowd has the prestige of being the first dentist of Andhra Pradesh to serve as the president of Indian Prosthodontic Society. Dr. Gowd is also the first person to be selected as the official dentist for the Governor, and has been a consultant to the Governor for the last 17 years. Performing surgeries including cosmetic and maxillofacial surgeries regularly at facilities like Apollo Hospital, Dr. Gowd brings a rich experience of 40 years, and has witnessed tremendous developments in the practice of dentistry, beginning with public awareness, tools and technology, organization of clinics, and introduction of cosmetic surgeries to several cutting edge solutions. “Initially, only Chinese used to perform dental treatments and we had to struggle to get recognized. Now, I am extremely happy with the recognition dentists get today.” Not the kind to take his vocation lightly, Dr. Gowd, has, against all odds, financial, social, and educational, pursued the highest levels of academics, skill training, and it is a testimonial to his commitment that he still keeps travelling regularly to foreign countries to attend conferences, workshops, and seminars, several times presenting papers himself and apart from all these activities he penned down number of books in various languages to create awareness among people on oral health. Though coming from a family where his father was not educated formally, the emphasis on education made sure that after his graduation from Osmania Medical College, he was sent to Bombay because PG courses were available only there those days. “If it is not for my father’s insistence on pursuing higher studies at London, I wouldn’t have grown this much”, beams Dr. Gowd proudly, remembering his parents’ contribution to his success. Starting Cosmetic Dentistry in our state in the year 1989, Dr. Gowd overcame the amusement and sarcasm people responded with when addressed to about cosmetic dentistry. With the aid of media, he was successful in addressing the phobia associated with dentistry that any procedure is necessarily painful. “Now the last thing a dentist does is removing teeth”, laughs Dr. Gowd.
Dr. Vikas Gowd
M.D.S. Oral Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Implantology Dr. Vikas Gowd had undergone training in U.S.A., Switzerland & Germany in surgical & prosthodontic phases in dental implants, advanced bone grafting procedures & tissue regeneration around implants, practices exclusive implant dentistry. He is also a Member and Fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologist. He has undergone extensive training in a number of implant systems. Dr Vikas Gowd was the first Indian to be conferred expert in implantologist by the(BDCI EDI) European Association of Implantologist BDCI EDI. He also holds the honour of having conducted clinical study of bone regeneration from stem cells which were differentiated into osteoblasts along with RE GROW. A further specialization in Prosthodontics allowed for several people who lost teeth in accidents had their teeth replaced either fully or partially. “Now, we have implant dentures where there is no pain and the patient can chew normally”, days Dr. Gowd, adding, “We also have maxilla-facial prosthetics where if there is loss of any part of jaw due to burns or injury or cancer we replace it with correct matching material”, demonstrating the leaps dentistry has made in the past several decades. Dr. Gowd is now actively pursuing stem-cell banking. “Stem cell banking is a recent revolutionary treatment not only in dentistry but also in other medical fields. In dentistry, we can remove stem cell from milk teeth of a person and in future we can make natural teeth from the stem cell”. Even as the research is not complete, Dr. Gowd’s visionary zeal has made him prepare for the future. Dr. Gowd also runs a school for dental implants where they run certified courses affiliated to international organizations. Dr. Gowd also makes sure that his share of responsibility to society is adequately fulfilled. “We have a charitable hospital in collaboration with Red Cross. We treat poor patients free of cost and we have adopted some blind schools. We also donate to religious institutions on a regular basis and to some orphanages.” Ever a constant learner, it has been the everlasting desire of Dr. Gowd to bring smiles upon millions, and he believes, that he still has miles of smiles to go!

Oral & Maxillofacial Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Dr. Kirti Gowd specializes in fixed orthodontics, myofunctional appliance, Damon System of self-ligating brackets and orthognathic. Dr. Kirti has completed her BDS from KLE’s Institute of Dental Science in Belgaum and MDA from Ryazan State I.P. Parlor Medical University Ryzan.

M.D.S(Osm), F.I.C.D.(USA),FICOI DICOI, FBDZI, FDGOI, Chief Cosmetic Dental Implantologist Oral & Maxillo-Facial Prosthodontics, Founder Member and Director, School of Dental Implants Dr. Shankar is a maxillofacial prosthodontist and implantologist practicing exclusive aesthetic and implant prosthodontics. He has undergone intensive training in implant prosthodontics in Switzerland. He has presented papers in National & International conferences on smile designing & analysis and implant prosthodontics.

Dr. Snigdha is a Specialist in Dentofacial Orthopedics (switzerland). She also is the Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at the Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad
Dr. Manjula Anagani
Dr. Manjula Anagani, MD, FICOG is the Head of the Department, Chief Gynaecologist, Obstetrician, Infertility Specility and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Sunshine Super Speciality Institute, Hitech City, Hyderbad. In the past she was associated with Apollo Hospitals Jubilee Hills, Headed the Department at Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills for 7 and half years & Yashoda hospitals, Somajiguda for 2 yrs and BEAMS hospital, Hyderabad for 4 years.
She is a Visiting Laparoscopic Surgeon with NMC Speciality Hospitals, Dubai (every 6 wks). She is a Honorary Associate Professor with NTR University of Health Sciences. She did her MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, following which she underwent training in prenatal genetic evaluation, infertility, and ultrasonography and in minimally invasive procedures (Hysteroscopy & Laparoscopy) under the guidance of eminent doctors. She was the recipient of chief minister's scholarship for academic excellence in X grade. She was the class representative at Medical School & sports captain in her high school.
She pioneered the art of Laparoscopy in late 90s when Laparoscopy was an emerging technology and it was primarily still a Man’s World wherein all the techniques and equipment that came about were designed to the ergonomics of the male surgeon.
Her achievements include working on ergonomics of woman and evolving newer techniques in Laparoscopy and minimal invasive surgery. She came up with a new Entry Technique to make the surgery less complicated and easier for the Surgeon. Since then she has performed more than 10,000 Laparoscopic surgeries in Gynecology catapulting her at the top slot in Andhra Pradesh and one among the few leading Laparoscopic surgeons in India.
She has been widely recognized for her work on primary amenorrhea (i.e., absent menstrual cycles). She is the First Doctor in the Country to utilize autologous Stem Cells to regenerate endometrium in case of endometrial aplasia (i.e., genetically absent lining of uterus). She is accomplished with Pioneering a new technique in India to create a Neovagina using a minimally invasive technique for woman with absent vagina.
Her expertise in the field of gynecological laparoscopy is recognized in other countries too and she is a visiting Laparoscopic Surgeon in NMC Specialty Hospitals, Dubai. She is an invited Operating Faculty for many National and International Operative workshops, CME’s (Continuous Medical Education) and Conferences. She has scientific paper presentations in US, South Africa, Malaysia, Thailand, Sharjah and Italy.
She has been a DNB (Directorate of National Board) teacher since 2006 and Faculty for Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education (EISA) and CeMAST (Centre for Excellence in Minimal Access Surgical Techniques). She conducts regular training for Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic techniques duly guiding more than 500 gynecologists in the country.
She is presently the Chairperson for Endoscopic Committee of OGSH (Obst. &Gyn. Society)

She has initiated an advocacy campaign called “Suyosha – A Perfect Woman” to address all aspects of woman’s health, child abuse, health education of adolescent girls and anti- hysterectomy campaign for Avoidable Surgeries through regular awareness campaigns in TV, Print Media, schools and public forums.
She is also a Medical Advisory Member for Johnson & Johnson Ethicon MSD Zydus Sports Authority of Telangana State Andhra Pradesh Body Donor Association & Savithribaiphule Educational & Charitable trust.
She has co- founded an NGO “Pratyusha Support” working on Women Empowerment, and Medical Support; ‘Wish Come True’ for HIV infected kids; ‘Say Yes to Health’ and free health checkups in slums, orphanages and schools in collaboration with LivLife Hospitals.
She has collaborated with state of Andhra Pradesh to undertake Free Cervical Cancer vaccination for young girls in Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas in the state.
She is Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International and has undertaken woman awareness issues, AIDS and Polio eradication workshops in collaboration with Rotary Club.
She also has to her credit in Dubai, in May, 2014 she had a rare feat of removing 5.1 kg of fibroid of uterus in a woman who was anxious to conceive. This procedure saved her uterus so that she could conceive and this happened to be the World’s second largest fibroid removed. Inspire of looming contradictions and negative suggestions from colleagues to consider termination as the only answer of some complicated pregnancies, she always made successful efforts and helped those mothers. Throughout her professional journey in life, she demonstrated focus on womanhood as an innovative creation!
